decided to play some tourneys today... was in for like 400 in the 100r and quit before the break cause it's stupid. I should really quit tourneys on full tilt because i'm no good at them on that site. I play a few others UB30r and something else and don't last long. Build a good stack in the 55r on Stars until this awesomeness.

how people make the calls they do in tourneys. We are just inside the money in the nightly 100K and I just bluffed off a lot of chips, so I'm in shoving mode and this guy tanks and then calls. sigh....

I had a good day today though. We'll it would have been a great day, but the deck hit me awesome mode early and I was up over 5K in the morning, but then gave it all back, took a break came back then was up 3.5K, went to dinner with the wife, came back and made another 800 or so. Overall a nice day though. Wishin everyone a safe and happy new years. Not sure what I have in store for resolutions. Quit smoking, get in shape, the normal ones, etc... Win seats to big events and actually cash in them... that would be nice...

Hopefully the housing market turns around in '09, but I doubt it will. We are actually thinking about buying another house while it's dirt cheap, but it's super high risk. We'll see what the future brings. Until then, good luck at the tables and in life. Good bye 2008!

After my 30K score, I decided to move up to 5/10 HU and play some. It started out great and I ran awesome and won 4K real quick, took a break, came back and gave some guy 5K. lol Heads up is so swingy, it's sickening at times. I was sweating my friend Derek at 5/10 and 10/20 on FT and I watched him get stuck like 10K and then grind it all back + more by the end of the session. It was just gross to watch. I found a fish today though and when it was all over, I took 6600.00 from him. Here was the biggest hand from the match.

I told myself I hate tourneys and they are a waste of money on Sunday, so I have been playing less and less of them. My friend looked up my ROI on FT the other day and he's like, yo mover, you have 144K in cashes this year and I'm like SWEET and then he says and 140K in buyins for 4K profit. What a waste of time haha. So I entered the Brawl on FT and Sunday Warmup on Stars. The brawl was okay until I shoved 77 on a 10 8 4 flop into aces. nice imo. but I ran really really well in the 3847 person field Sunday Warm up that all put up 215.00 to enter. I had aces and kings a lot and they held a lot too. I was chip leader with like 5 million chips with 42 to go and made a semi bad call blind vs blind when a nit shoved on me and I called with A9 and he had AK and held. Anyway, I float around to the final table and end up finishing 5th for 30.6K, my biggest score ever. Of course it feels nice, but I really wanted that 100K for first and I think I'm really good at closing tourneys. Oh well, still a great day and a good recovery for the bankroll that has been pretty stagnant for a while. Ok, just wanted to post that and brag a little.

I have the flu or something dumb + my insurance went up to over 500.00 a month for this dumb cobra plan. bad beat imo.

back to recovering and then vegas

I was running really good at the end of November +20K, so i took some 5/10 and 10/20 shots and got crushed for 18K :o( It really sucked bad and I couldn't walk away. booo, so it's back to the grind again to recover my shot taking. Probably take me a month or so maybe more to get that money back. I played a few tourneys, but bubbled them, 100r, 216 turbo, etc... I honestly feel like a have a big edge in tourneys, but it's as if i'm just lighting money on fire. Oh well.

On a better note, I'm going to Vegas on Tuesday with my friend Zack who won the ftops omaha event. I'm pretty excited about that and hope to make some cash out there. I guess that's all for now.
