New year stuff

Been lacking in the updates, but ended the year in a small downer, but still crushed November and December and met the goal of over 200K, so I've set the bar even higher for 2010 - 300k. We're off to a pretty good start in January so let's do it.

As the year comes to a close....

We look back at all the bad beats and all the broken computer parts. I went through 5 different mouses (mice?) wtf and 2 laptops...but we have come down the home stretch ripping and roaring our way to the top eclipsing our goal we set for ourselves of 200k on the year. Well, there is 3 weeks left, but we are playing well and running pretty well also. Game selecting has been key to my upswing as I don't play any solid winners or hit and runners and have gotten pretty good at quitting games where even though I have a small edge, I can't win because they cards aren't agreeing. Basically you start forcing things and building big pots for no reason and you can't win any of them so you get more stuck and tilted.

I've run up my ftp account very nicely and basically convinced myself that I shouldn't have left. I've read in the twoplustwo forums that their player base is up over 30% in the last few months which looks great for poker. The government has delayed some important decisions regarding the legalization and taxation of online poker which is nice as well.

Haven't posted any hands in a while, so here's a good one where you think you are getting bluff raised on the flop, so you 3 bet hoping to get it in on a flip or maybe he folds and you win the pot right there, so he ships and you're like ok flip it up, oh nevermind, I have you dominated...

Hi.

Haven't updated as much as I should....maybe because we've been super busy and been running really well lately. I went to Vegas for a week as well which ended +4.2k, not too bad I guess, but I had a chance to ship the 350 deep stacks at Venetian for 29k, but ran 1010 into KK and finished 10th. such is life....

I cracked my fibula the other day trying to jump over the coffee table from the couch. Yeah, wtf right? I landed wrong and SNAP, man it hurt so bad. I got a splint cast from the ER, then went to Jewett Orthopedic where the magic players go and he gave me this gigantic ski boot which is pretty sexy imo.

We also got a dog! She's a great dog that my wife's brother found. She's a lab of some sort, black and around 8 weeks old now. Dropped like 500 on vet stuff, but she's really a good dog. We named her Charlie. She's spoiled rotten and even sleeps in the bed with us lol.

We've also been really stressed out about a big financial decision we are wavering back and forth on.... There's a 6 acre lot we were looking at purchasing in a custom home gated community. They use to sell for 400-600k each, but you can get one for 50kish now. We offered 35k but they said no. There's also a house for sale next to the wife's parents place that we might buy as a rental property as well. In 2005 it was purchased for 206k and it's bankowned for sale now for 99k which is a steal if we can just sit on it for a while.

Other than that, same old same old....gotta get ready for taxes and hopefully another trip soon. Ok time to walk the dog again!

Shipped LARGGGGGGGGE

As with all Sundays, they suck. You spend a couple thousand on tourneys, get bad beated a lot and cry yourself to sleep being stuck and spending all the hard earned profits for the week going for the big cash that will seemingly never happen. Well, that finally all turned around for me yesterday. I busted the 500hu matches to Jeff Madsen who played awful but won 2 big flips, whatever....then busted the 500 on UB JJ to QQ, busted FTOPS 256 6 max bounty to another moron, so decided I wasn't going to enter any of the late afternoon tourneys cause I was done and frustrated. I still had the 100rebuy up and had ran really hot in hours 3 and 4 to get a big stack. I won a big flip AK to QQ, then another flip QQ to AK, then had KK to JJ to AJ and held to get to 900k in chips good for the cl with 27 to go. Long story short, we get 3 handed and I get it in with AJ vs 88 for like 60% of the chips in play and lost that flip to finish 3rd for 44.2k 1st was 81k, but I'm still happy with the cash as it's my biggest of my life. I've been on a sick heater since coming back from Aruba on Oct. 13. I've had 1 losing day out of 19. I'm up 56.5k in November on top of the almost 15k for the 2nd half of October. I set a goal to make 200k for 2009 and it was pretty much out of the question last month, but I ran some numbers last night and I think I'm at +187k now, so we may just get there!! Then I get to take it up the ass for taxes and I'm broke again lol

Leaving for Vegas on Wednesday for a short trip with my brother and a few friends so hopefully we can big there while living it up spending way too much money on room and food.

The wife's brother found this puppy on the side of the road and his wife said he couldn't have it so we took her in. She's a pretty good dog, a black lab and we named her Charlie. Already got stuck with 300 in vet bills for worm meds, bowls, food, toys, leash, collar, etc... but she really is a good dog, sleeps a lot and other time just wants to play. Crystal put her in the bed last night and at 4 am the dog is like eating my face wanting to play. lol

Ok, probably gonna take the day off and do some stuff around the house.
