cashout curse?

My wife and I are looking at this lot in Lake County that is 5 acres that we may purchase. It's in a 63 lot custom home community. About 20 of the lots sold in 2007 for over 400k each, but then the market dipped and now you can get one for around 40k or so. We'd just sit on it for a few years and either sell it or build a dream house on it when I win it big. I cashed out a bunch of money today so we could prepare to pay for it as all the deals must be cash deals and then ran like dogshit all day. here are a few hands to prove it...

Also obviously didn't cash the 100r and finished 14th in the PCA 33r satellite after being in for like a thousand rebuys. Oh well, you have to win flips which I do not do in tourneys. Overall it was a great week though +8500 (i'm stuck 3k today which isn't in there fml) We went camping with a bunch of friends Friday and saturday which was a good breakaway from the computers and house and things to think about. Just sitting around a campfire telling stories and drinking beer and watching the deers. It's so peaceful and relaxing. Ok gotta get out of the hole. Peace.

Been a while.....

Back from Aruba. I lost my ass there. The trip cost a whopping 21k. I flew out on Oct 1 and lost like 2500 in a 5/5 game, yep then signed online and dropped another 12k which was not good. :( My wife got there on the 4th and we just took it easy for the rest of the trip. I had a good day 1 in the tourney, but day 2 I was really sick and lost a flip AK to 88 for a big pot, so that's they way it goes.... I met so many awesome people. I went to Phil Hellmuth's Penthouse party which featured 30 bottles of Dom Perigon, open bar, strippers in his jacuzzi, the Dan Band and a rap off. My wife and I also made really good friends with Eric Shoenberg and her brother Alex. We went golfing with them which was awesome. It was super expensive, but a great time. Yes, it is true, she is single as her and David Benyamine broke up a few months ago. We also rented a Land Rover with Hollywood Dave (blackjack guy) and took it through the outbacks of Aruba and visited some caves and a cool snorkle spot. It was a great day.

Another good story was having a big steak dinner with myself, the wife, Erica and her brother Alex, Roothlus and Roothlusjr, Jeff Madsen, Amit Mahatja, Billy Kopp, Allie Prescott and a few others. Obviously we credit card roulette the bill, a few people buy out, but there's like 700 left. It gets down to heads up between me and Jeff Madsen and it's my wife's turn to pick. She fortunately picks my card is safe from behind Katie's back and Jeff gets stuck with the bill. He also lost the next night at Aqua Grill for 2k when all he had was a salad. F his life....

So I've just been playing some small stakes and trying to play my best to get this 20k back as quickly as possible. Fortunately I've gotten 7k back this week so hopefully it continues and we'll run good forever!

peace,

Mover
