played mostly 10/20 today and as always run like dog shit. I had 77 on a 742 flop vs. 22 and yep river 1 outer 2 for 4200.00 pot, but that wasn't it.... QQ v JJ for stacks at 10/20 4 handed turn J for another 4k+ pot. 5/10 lost every race known to man, it was just so nasty. I was up over 18K this month and and dropped 11.3k today. I think that's about right. I mean I almost bustoed my bodog roll chasing losses at 10/20. It's just so disgusting how bad I run at 10.20 it's unbelievable. I gotta drop down with the scrubs to try to recover. I played this idiot fish also and i shove A5 on a 10 5 7 3 board on the turn and he calls with KJ and rivers a King. I mean, wtf can i do there. I go with my reads and play awesome and just got shit on all day. It was very very frustating. I almost didn't play today too, but wtf can I do. i try to do my best, but it's just gross when the cards don't go your way. No matter how good you are or how awesome you play, it doesn't matter....

hump day rain

It's been raining the past 3-4 days all day everyday. Our house smells like there's a leak somewhere under the foundation, so I have to meet with some air quality guys and construction companies tomorrow to figure out wtf is wrong. It's very frustrating because we fought with the builder of our house on this issue and they gave up on us during the warranty period. Now we are out of the warranty and it's going to be us that has to pay for this construction. They are probably going to have to dig out the side of the building and find out where this pocket of water is that the moisture detector computer thing is finding under the foundation/tile of our kitchen. Obv, very frustrating. :o(

As far as poker goes, the month has been good and swingy. I started up 15K then dropped 5500 on that one day, but had 6 straight winning days to recover that. Was down 4200 yesterday though and bet 250 on the lakers -7 and under and of course that was lighting money on fire. f sportsbetting. We watched it at Fisheye's and while the girls chit chatted, we put in a session and I actually recovered a bunch of funds, but still ended down 2214.33 yesterday. I don't have the hand history, but we were both 2100.00 deep vs this fish and he raises 30, i call, flop 488, i have 44 and he has 88. One of the worst coolers I've ever had as far as money is concerned. I did play an instructor for one of the poker training sites though because I know exactly how he plays. I built up a 6600.00 stack on him and when he doubled through, I quit him.

I'm still running awful in WSOP qualifiers. I'm in for a ton and still don't have my seat.

a few hands, a bad night, etc...

The month was going great +15k and almost recovered from last month's disaster. I have this dude that I'm up 11k on at 5/10 HU that wouldn't give me action the other night, so I told my friend Jason to play him on his account and I would take half the action. Unfortunately the guy ran super super hot and we lost like 6k. :( boo. On top of that I lost another 400 stakin my joke friends and 2200 of my own money, so basically it was a really really shitty day. I ended -5500 on that day. sigh... I'm still trying to win a seat to the main event. I got 13th in the 33r which pays nothing. I played the 650 that paid 12 seats, but I got 45th because i flip bad when it matters. I'm for at least 4k now i think for the seats. Hopefully I win one soon because this sucks!

I did recover most of the -5500 day so far so I think I'm still up 13k on the month which of course is nice. I ran awesome on stars today +8k, but lost like 7k on bodog. wtf. Anyway, we are packing for our Alaska/Canada trip and are super looking forward to it. Everything is booked and we've spent a ton of money on jackets and scarfs, gloves, hats, etc... to stay warm. Also beat Simpson in golf on Friday, but of course we didn't bet as I only win when I don't bet him.

Interesting Hand

Just played this guy heads up for a while. At the start of the hand, he's up around 400-500 on me I think. He calls 3 bets too light and likes to float a lot to take pots away on later streets. I finally busted him on this hand.

on the river he's basically turning his hand into a bluff. 88-1010 is never shoving the river, well if they are, more power to them. I actually put him on 56, which wouldn't shove the river either because he has showdown value and can win vs. two big cards that i might have been barreling on. I timed down almost to zero and called and fortunately was right. May continues to be good to us!

May here me roar, roar IMO

Powering through May putting in a bunch of hands and trying to play my best and quit sessions when tilting, think things through, etc...basically playing A+ the whole time. It's working out well and I'm running well up $10449.58 so far this month! Feels great to recover a chunk of what was lost last month. I told myself I wasn't going to make a withdrawal until I recovered all of the funds so we're on our way.

We are also getting super excited about Alaska/Canada trip. Ordered some rain suits for us and some jackets so we don't freeze our asses off. I also made a baller trip to Men's Warehouse. The only suit I own is a homecoming suit my dad bought me when I was 16 years old for homecoming or prom. Obviously it doesn't fit anymore. I do have a nice sportscoat, but I wanted a nice suit. So I head in there and they are having a nice sale. I try on some suits and end up getting two of them. It was buy one get one free! Of course the sales guy is like hey man you need some shirts and ties? My wife usually buys them for me but he laid them out with the suits and all of them looked so awesome from maroon to tan and even pink, so I bought all the colors and ties lol. It doesn't stop there though...He's like, how about some new shoes and socks. Ok, ship it. Don't forget the dress belt. 1500.00 later, I'm dressed to impress for life. haha

a few days off, a wedding and april results

My buddy Lewie got married this weekend which was awesome. His wife is super awesome and super hot so good for him. It's 2 hours away, so we got a hotel down there for the weekend which was nice. I didn't bring the computer and the few days off was nice just to hang out and enjoy the weather. I did make it back in time yesterday for a few tourneys. I cashed the brawl and also cashed the million but went out in ugly fashion in the million kk to ak for a 300k pot. meh. I did end up +1768.00 yesterday so May is off to a good start.

April was just a nightmare that never ended. I had 3 days that I lost over 10k. The swings were pretty nasty in the downward direction and it was my first losing month in a while. I ended down 15805.11 which includes some staking that didn't go well either. We leave at the end of this month for our 2 week vacation so I'd love to get even before then. Away we go..
