Married and ready to rock

Got married on 6/16/07 to my wonderful best friend Crystal. Honeymooned to Antigua in the Caribbean. It was fun and relaxing. The hotel (Sandals all inclusive) was misrepresented on the website. It wasn't as high class as the pictures, the food was average, but we still made the best of it and enjoyed each other's company. We did a zip line tour that was fun as well as some sailing and snorkling. It's good to be home though. I played a short session last night which included 2 MTTs and 10 SNGs. Unfortunately, I ran super bad and ended -600.00 in like 2 hours so I just shut her down. Sucks to take over a week break and come back to running bad. It'll turn around though. :o) Bodog still owes me 14K which I'm pretty pissed about. I took most of what I have left on them off the site and will probably only play on Full Tilt from here on out.

Sunday Majors + other randomness

3 days until I'm a married man. I've heard and read places that they guys get cold feet. Well, I'm all warm and fuzzy inside, so I guess that's true for everyone except me. I'm not nervous at all. Just hope everything falls into place and the people are where they should be and the weather holds up. I was going to drive myself to the church so my bro/groomsmen and friends can decorate my truck, but with all the plentiful beers and liquor we purchased for the wedding, I just rented a limo instead lol. Of course I could baller party bus it for 40 people, but just got a regular one for a ride from the church to reception, then reception to the hotel. Our flight leaves the next day at 8 am, so it should be a fun one + we have a 2 hour layover in San Juan, PR. Who's the dumbass that booked that flight (oh yeah, me)

As far as the poker update goes, I got 2nd in a 6 max tourney for 2200.00 on Saturday, then spent 1200.00 on the majors sunday and didn't cash any of them lol, but ended the night winning back to back 120.00 turbo sng's so at least it ended well. I'm playing well though, and that's all that matters.

Running Better

Took 2nd in the Bodog 12K yesterday for a smooth $2400.00. The guy completely owned me heads up. Maybe he was just catching some cards, but he was super aggro and I really didn't have much to play back at him with. I ran well though, won some key races and am overall pleased with the result (although 1st is way better of course!) Played a 100.00 on stars and was running well until 88 < 99 for a big pot and I was out shortly thereafter. 10 days until I'm a married man. Pretty sick that it's so close!! Then it's off to Antigua for a week. At least I'll get some sun for a change and fortunately I paid for it already! :oD

Sorry for no updates

I've been really bad at updating this blog. I was in Vegas for a week and it went pretty well. Going to vegas for 6 or 7 days is too much though. If you go to Vegas, you have to go for like 4 days max. For those of you who sit there day in and day out and grind out the money from the tourists, God bless you, because I'd rather put a shotgun to my face and pull the trigger. The old whiners are ridiculous complaining about bad beat after bad beat. It's honestly sickening. The people smell, the casino smells, the chips are dirty, the people are a joke, management staff are all assholes. I paid for my whole trip, food, hotel, flight, everything and came back with more money than I started with so it went pretty good. I had one losing day out of the 6 I was there. It's definitely nice to be back though. I final tabled the 40K on Full Tilt the first day back. Here's the hand I went out on:

Gank is a high stakes cash player and I thought I was ahead of his range here, but he made a good call and just happened to have a better hand than me that held up. 12 days until I get married. Rented a super stretch navigator on Saturday night and went to a bunch of strip clubs. My bro spent way too much money. It was sick. Fun times though. They put me on stage, stripped me down to my boxers then I danced for the girls, then they all smacked my ass. lol

As far as the original 10K challenge goes, I won that 3700.00 for 5th in the 40K before Vegas, but I lost it all already running bad as cash games. I'm just going to play tournaments and turbo SNGs for a while because my return on those is pretty good. I still have over 10K so all is well. No tickets to bustoland yet.

Tomorrow is the Day

Leaving for Vegas tomorrow. It's going to be so awesome. I haven't been back since the World Series last year and even then, I didn't get to play as much as I wanted to. I've planned out a bunch of tourneys that I'd like to play, the biggest ones being at the Venetian - daily 340.00 and also the superstack 550.00. Ceasars & Planet Hollywood also have some decent structure ones as well. Cash games are where to make the easy money though and I hope to kill it on the felt.

Vegas Trip Booked

I booked my trip to Vegas today. It's my last fun alone times before the big wedding day. I'm going with a good poker buddy of mine Barry, so it should mainly just entail lots of drinking and cards. They wife to be said I have to leave her 1000.00 though before I go. I think I'm losing in that deal, but we both get what we want I suppose. It's sort of a gift to myself for my decent tax return + a little away time before the big day. I certainly don't have cold feet or anything. Today, the wedding is actually one month away. Time really has flown by since we initially picked the date!

I went deep in two tourneys last night - the FT Stuper 163.00 and Bodog 50K, but flamed out before the final table. Made a few bucks. It's nice to play well though and cash at least althoug the big score would have been a lot nicer! It was Crystal's birthday the other day and I got her a digital camera and printer that she wanted. She thought it cost 100.00, but it really cost like 400.00. She'll probably get mad when she finds out.

We're off to Panama City this weekend (5 hour drive) to see her dad and finalize the plans about wedding money and who is paying for what. We added up everything and it's just shy of 20K + our honeymoon is 5800.00 on top of that. What a bunch of money to spend on one day.... It'll be a fun time though and I'm really looking forward to it.
