All day Saturday play + sucky Sundays

I didn't really feel like playing online Friday, so the wife and I went to a local home game to hang out and play some. The rake is decent for live and it's a bunch of pocketfivers playing 1/2NL 300 max trying to outbluff each other with 3 or 4 fish at the table. They run 2 tables and provide all the beer you can drink and food you can eat + it's really safe as well. I lost a huge pot (well, huge for this game) getting all in with 6s4s on a 3d5d7h board. It went, me bet 20, flat call, fish raise to 55.00, I raise 175.00, all in, all in, then of course me all in too. BB had 10d9d and other dude 77, 3 ball on the turn and he scoops. he was all fist pumping and shit saying sorry people_mover. haha I laughed it up reloaded, built up to 800 something, then bluffed most of it all away to Roothlus2 (Roothlus' little brother) Did I mention that tourney players are horrible at deep stack poker? Yeah anyway...we quit the game at like 5 am stuck a few hundred, but whatever.

Saturday the wife went to some scrapbook expo with her mom and sister. I gotta admit the wife is pretty creative and makes these cool scrapbooks about all sorts of memories like cruises or vacations we've taken, parties, wedding stuff, etc... So that left me to play all day by myself and that's what I did. Long story short, I ended +$6605.00 in cash games (mostly HU) shipping it all over the place. Down a few hundred in tourneys, but that's pretty standard. I had HUGE swings vs. TaiwanStyle with him going buying in for 600.00, running it up to 3500.00, then I took it all back and ended with 4500.00 on the table to his zero. lol It was a nasty nasty battle. I'll try to dig up a hand or two vs. him. He's a super aggro LAG that isn't afraid to pot pot pot on a bluff. I made some great calls with 2nd and 3rd pair and my reads were really good. I'm really happy with the way I'm playing.

Sunday was pretty typical. Buy in to a bunch of tourney and don't cash any of them. :o( I lost a big flip early in the 30K JJ vs. QK which crippled me, then the 100K I lost AQ vs. KK and in the Brawl I chipped up well, but I called a raise with AdQs in the BB and the flop was all low diamond cards, so I c/red all in on the flop and he snap called with KdKc and I bricked. I didn't play the 750K or Mulligan, however RoothlusJr got 7th in the 750K for 18K, so good for him. Tomorrow is April Fools day... I don't really have any stunts to pull, but maybe I'll think of something....Oh, I ended down a little bit yesterday i think, but still a great weekend for the pokers!

Softball & other random stuff

We had our first softball game Wednesday and I'm fucking out of shape. I'm still sore from it. I played catcher, my dad was the pitcher and my twin bro played 2nd base. I grounded out twice and blasted one with 2 people on and this dude made this sportscenter catch out of his ass. So I'm batting 000 :o( but one guy did try to steal on me and I fucking gunned him out haha.

I came home from that and found a fish and took him for 1300.00 before he quit me, so I'm up 10 buy ins at 400NL in 500 hands which is total sickness!! I'll post some hands later on. Not sure how much I'll play this weekend, but will probably do the majors and stuff.

Ran SUPER hot yesterday

I saw a donkey sitting by himself at 400NL, so I opened up a table and sat by myself with 400 and he actually sat with me at that open table so I sat at his other table. Well 2 hours later, I had taken 7.5 buy ins from him!! 3000.00 lol After stacking him the last time, he typed in the chat that he will play me again when i cool down. I did run hot, but I was bluffin his ass a lot too.

We have our first softball game tonight for our team "ALL IN" lol

not much to report (big swong however)

Friday was "good friday" - well it wasn't that good for me. My wife and I had planned to go camping over the Easter weekend at a local state park about 30 minutes away. My parents go there all the time + we like to camp and sit around the fire and do lowkey stuff like play board games or cards or whatever and drink a lot obviously. So my wife had to work a half a day so I decided to put a session in and I lost 6200.00 on Bodog :o( I couldn't fold an overpair to save my life and was setted on over and over again and honestly played well, but just lost and lost and lost. I did win 1200.00 on Full Tilt lol but it was still a -5K day. boo :o( I wanted to grind it out but she got home and it was time to load up the truck and get over there.

Camping was okay. We slept in our tent on Friday and saturday night. We saw a ton of deer, sandhill cranes and turkeys. Sunday we loaded up and came home just in time for the Sunday Brawl - $256.00 buy in and then the Bodog 30K. I lost a big flip early QQ vs. AK in the Bodog 30K and couldn't recover and then lost another flip JJ vs. AQ. :o( The Brawl started out really good me knocking someone out for 40 bucks but then I got into a bad hand with QQ out of position vs KK where I shoved over his flop bet knowing the only thing that would call me would have me crushed. Oh well. I played super well in the Bodog 100K though and chipped up nicely to 25K. Then the bubble came and I tried to take advantage of it by raising a lot, but everytime I raised, someone shoved over me and I had to fold, which sucks huge nuts. Some days you can steal steal steal all the way up and other days you just get shoved on every time. 63 pay and with 64 left, I shoved 55 and got called by AQ, river Q obv. and I was the bubble boy. I play to win though. 63rd was 250.00 which of course would have been nice, but I play to win!

The 750K went pretty well. The field was over 3700 people and I chipped up nicely and won a huge pot early when I had 66 and the flop was 655 and there was a bet and raise in front of me lol I peaked around 58K in chips, but went horribly card dead and at 2K/4K blinds I shoved KhQh for 41K and the BB called 2/3rd of his stack off with A9off. I think that's a HORRIBLE call by him. Flop Qx x turn x, river fucking ace and I'm busted in 130th or so for like 700.00 or so.

At least I ran better on Bodog though and sat by myself at 1000NL and broke the whole table in like 13 minutes. Here's my account history:

pretty funny because then I was just sitting at the table by myself. So as of last monday, I've had a 7K downswing, then 7K upswing, then a 5K downswing and a comeback of 3000.00, so I'm still stuck 2K from last week, but it's okay because I'm going to play well and do awesome everyday.

Wednesday starts my brother's softball league. He asked me to play so we'll see how it goes. I haven't played sports since high school, so hopefully i don't fall over and die.

According to PT, I’m stuck 7K at 2/4HU this month which equates to a nice 18 buy in downswing. It’s pretty sickening. I went from over 30K on FT to less than 15K, so what do you do, move up to chase losses.... Here are the bigger hands I played last night.

I got pretty pissed at myself for not calling here because it’s either the nuts or nothing and I folded and got shown a bluff. Would have been over a 3000.00 pot.

haven't won shit

just losing lately. I played the dumb degen 200 turbo yesterday again like a retard even though my wife told me to take our bikes to the shop, but I'm an idiot, lose 99 vs KQ obv since I flip horribly. Then proceed to dump a shitton of money trying to bluff station ass donkeys. Wifey took a quick nap when she got home from work and when she woke up 30 minutes later, i was stuck 3600.00. :o( I played bad and ran even worse. On one hand I had 67 on a 4c5s8h flop. I c/r his 30.00 bet to 90.00 and he calls. Turn As, I bet 200.00 and he calls, river 2s i think. I shove for 700 something and he insta calls with 10s6s. what? awesome. Then I tried to bluff him off kings HU which is never a good idea. I played a bunch of 110 and 220 turbos to try to get unstuck which made me more stuck, so i just shut the shit off and went out to eat with the wifey. We went to beef o brady's up the street. They have a good roast beer sandwich there and stella in a bottle which is nice so I had a bunch of those to cool down and she had some wine. When we got home, we decided to watch American Idol to see who got booted off. Tivo owns obv. Yeah, call me gay or whatever, but we watch americal idol. fuck all of you. lol

So I wanted to play more because I get so pissed when I'm stuck. I see the guy who took like 2K from me sitting by himself, so I sit with him and get 1K back and played a bunch of 110 turbos HU donk and gos and won 400 there, so ended down 2100 on the day which still sucks, but whatever.

Played the turbo 215.00 at 6 p.m. That tourney is really addicting because it's a 30K Guaranteed and the winner gets over 10K and the tourney lasts just 3 hours as it's a turbo. The blinds go up quickly, so at 60/120, one fish opens to 360 and I shove AQ for 2100 and he calls with Q10 and the rest is history with the runner runner clubs for him, what? so frustrating. :o(
I played 2 220.00 +10 turbo HU Sng's, won one and lost one.

On sharkscope I'm a shark though. haha

1451 entrants in the Sunday 256.00 buy in "Brawl" Tourney - 62K for 1st. I busted 20th in a huge pot after I shoved 77 over a raise 6 handed and ran into QQ. I ran well and played even better, but it just wasn't my day. I was stuck a lot on the day, so I really needed to go deep and final table it to get unstuck, but it just wasn't meant to be. :(

I thought it was a bad shove, but I posted it on 2+2 and all of the top pros said shove shove shove, so I feel better now. Don't feel like writing much as I'm still depressed over what could have been. :o/

I was stuck a lot yesterday too. Played the 500.00 buy in Bodog Main Event also but busted 99 < 88 all in pre in the 3rd hour or so. Couldn't get anything going...

tourney beats go on

Played the 65K on FT 163.00 and Bodog PL Event #4 215.00 last night at 8 p.m. Was out on like the 10th hand set over set in the 65K, standard because I run so f-in bad in tourneys there, then 4 hours into the PL Event, I get all in with KK vs. KQ and it comes QQx obv. I played so well for 4 hours and to go out like that is such a joke. It was 200/400 and we got it in for almost a 40K chip pot preflop. So gross. There were a lot of regs at the table that I play with often and they were all saying how sick it was. I mean, I'm like 86.2% when the money goes in so there's nothing else I can do. It's better than pair over pair. Just so gross. I haven't been that pissed off in a long time. At least my connection is holding though and I've had no problems since the new router went in.

I destroyed 3/6NL HU yesterday for about 2K in an hour or so, but then played 4 or 5 110.00 turbo SNGs and didn't place in any of them. If you look up my sharkscope, it use to have a shark next to it, but now it says super tilt lol. I'm getting it in good, AQ vs. A9, KK vs A10, etc.. but the hands just aren't holding up.

New router finally

I went to Best Buy and bought the newest high tech Linksys Wireless 'N' router. It was really easy to hook up and install and I 2 tabled with no problems for like an hour or something. I was stuck 1500 quickly but almost got it back to even. I had a good January and February and got so frustrated with my Netgear router that I withdrew 10K from my accounts. So I won't be moving up to 5/10 as expected, but I'll grind out some more and try to play my best. I don't know how carsonandchad and xxjondxx go deep in tourneys. They are winning something every other day it seems and I can't even make it to the money. It's pretty depressing.

I joined deucescracked.com for training and coaching by some of the most successful online players. They make videos of them playing and analyze them so it'll be nice to see. It's 25.00/month or so + I need to learn how to play 6 max better anyway since some of the HU games have been kind of dry lately.

I got this tax bill in the mail yesterday for over 3000.00. It pretty much sucks because our house is new and we pay tax values on the land value (land isn't worth much) so basically the following year, you pay on the land & building combined, so our taxes jumped from 200.00 to over 3K. I gotta call the mortgage company to see if they were preparing for this or if we have to pay it or if it's going to be rolled into our mortgage. Probably should do that right now...

Oh yeah, I got rearended the other day in my truck. Some dumb lady ran into the back of my recently paid off truck. It's not bad but the bumper needs to get repainted and primered and stuff. I was nice and didn't call the police for her. I guess that's the way it works, pay off a vehicle then get it damaged. so gay.

Tournaments are the suck again

It's gotta be 50+ tourneys since I've cashed one on Full Tilt. I run so damn horrible in tourneys there, it's unreal. The Sunday Brawl starts out the majors on Full Tilt and it's 256.00 buy in. I tried to satellite in and finally won my seat after spending 400.00 whoops. I get short quick but double up set over set, but then lose AK to JJ in a classic race so whatever. I really believe it is true that "ranked" players run hotter than regular recreational players. Ari for example gets short in the 40K Guar. and shoves like 10 hands in a row and nobody looks him up until I do with AQ. Of course he has no hand 76off, but the flop is 6 4 10, turn 7 and I'm shutting the shit down before the river even comes cause it's so much of a joke. In the 109.00 30K on Bodog I was out early with AK on a A 4 5 flop to 55. Then the 100K, I busted AKss vs. 44 on a 10s 7s 5h board after I 3-bet half the guys stack preflop and he stop and goed me and don't get there obv. whatever.

Cash games were super streaky. I got 2-outed probably 10 times yesterday, but still managed to break even on the day even after spending over 1K on tournaments. It was still a great week for poker though and my bankroll is over 50K now (even after taking some off the other day). It's split mostly between two sites so I'm sort of rolled for 5/10 (not HU though yet), so maybe I'll take another 5000.00 shot. :o)

Bodog's BPO (Bodog Poker Open) starts this week with tonight being a 250+20 tourney. It's a series of big buy in tourneys ending with the 500.00 Main event that has 25K added and winner gets a 4400.00 engraved watch too. That bitch better have my name on it.

Another nice pot here. I think his shove is pretty bad unless he thinks I'm squeezing because he's either crushed or racing for over 100BBs which is pretty dumb imo, especially at 6 max.
